RULES
AND REGULATIONS 1.
The World Cocktail Competition (WCC) is open to Member
Guilds of the international Bartenders Association
only. 2.
The Cocktail Competition
(WCC) shall be formalised and prepared by the “Host-country” in
accordance with the WCC Rules and Regulations. The IBA-ICC Committee, in
agreement with the organising Committee of the Host-Country reserves the
right to reject any competitor, recipe or recipe name, considered
unacceptable. 3.
The World Cocktail Competition (WCC) conducted in the
host-country will be supervised by the IBA-Competition Committee, composed
of the President of IBA-WCC Committee and the President of teh
Host-country. 4.
Prior to the WCC, the IBA-Competition Committee will review
all recipes for eligibility. 5.
The World Cocktail Competition (WCC) shall be held each year
in that country so designated by the Council of the TBD. 6.
Each Member Guild shall submit one recipe on the official
entry form supplied by the Organising committee on or before the
designated date. The recipes shall be an original creation of the
competitiors. 7.
All recipes are the sole property of the IBA. 8.
Each year one category will be featured at the WCC to create
the Best Drink in that category. 9.
The 3 categories are:
a)Before-dinner Cocktail
-Dry or Medium
b)After-Dinner Cocktail
-Sweet
c)Long Drink
-Collins type
*The Before Dinner Cocktail shall not contain more than two(2)
centilitres of Sweetened products. 10.
The winning recipe of the annual WCC will be proclaimed as
the: “IBA-Cocktail
or Long Drink of The Year” RECIPES 1.
The content (volume) of a PRE-DINNER recipe shall not exceed
NINE (9) centilitres. 2.
Recipe shall be expressed in centilitres, divided
respectively into 'whole number' (1, 3, 5, etc) and,or dashes and or drops 3.
Each recipe shall contain at least 1 (one) alcoholic
ingredient. The maximum number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic ingredients
in the Cocktail, and PRE-DINNER Drink recipe shall be limited to Five (5)
including Dashes and Drops. 4.
Glassware will also be provided by the host-country and
Organising Committee and shall be Cocktail
Glass - with a content of Nine (9) Centilitres Long
Drink Glass - with a content of Thirty (30) Centilitres 5.
Ingredients may be measured using a measuring cup or freely
poured 6.
All drinks may be: Hand Stirred, Hand Shaken or Blended in
an electric mixer 7.
Competitor is allowed to use his own bar utensils to prepare
the cocktail or long drink. INGREDIENTS 1.
Each Guild's competitor is obliged to use their recipe
at least, One (1) product of the Associate Member drawn by lot. The
remaining ingredients have to be selected from the product-list of all
Associate Members. 2.
Only sponsored products are allowed to be used in the
recipe and will be furnished by the ICC Committee to all members. 3.
Basic (fresh) fruit juices, fresh egg-white, non alcoholic
mixers, carbonated and non carbonated waters - and bitters are allowed to
be used and will be provided by the Host Country. 4.
Home made - or self-made ingredients, or the blending of
ingredients to count as One (1) ingredient, shall not be allowed. 5.
Dairy products shall consist only of fresh milk, cream and
eggs. 6.
Heated ingredients shall not be allowed. 7.
Any substitutions and questionable ingredients in a
competitor's original recipe must have the approved of the ICC Committee
before mixing.
1.
Garnishes will be prepared (cut-up) prior to going on stage.
The time allowed for the preparation of the garnishes is 15 minutes.
Prepared garnishes shall be put together after the drinks are made on
stage. 2.
Garnishes shall consist only of edible fruit or vegetables 3.
Basic garnishes, such as: cherries, olives, lemons, limes
and oranges will be provided by the Host-country. Any other types of
fruits, and, or vegetables shall be provided by the competitor himself
(for the 17 drinks). 4.
Artificial arrangements or food-dyes shall not be allowed. 5.
Garnish decorations shall not be arranged so as to display
any identifiable signs. 6.
Condiments, such as: salt, sugar, pepper, nutmeg, cinnamon
and others, which are internationally used, shall be allowed. 7.
Only standard long straw, short straws, picks, and stirrers
are to be used and will be provided by the Host-country. 8.
Any questionable garnishes must seek the approved of the ICC
Committee. 1.
The sequence of competitiors in the competition shall be on
a draw lot basis for all rounds. 2.
Competitior shall present themselves in full Bartender`s
uniform or in their Guild`s colour. 3.
Each competitior shall be limited to Five(5) Minutes in
mixing the short drinks (before dinner and after dinner) and Seven(7)
Minutes for the long drink. 4.
Competitior`s efficiency judged by the Technical Jury using
the Five(5) Minutes (short) or Seven(7)
Minutes(Long Drink) time limit. 5.
A competitor may exceed the Five(5) or Seven(7) Minutes
limit, but will be penalised by the Technical Jury. 6.
the WCC will be presented in Three(3) Rounds 7.
All competitiors will mix in the First Round. 8.
Nine (9) competitiors who scored the highest points in the
First Round will enter inte the Second Round (semi-finals) and mix once
again 9.
The Three(3) Competitors with the highest points accurued
from both the First and the Second Round will enter into the Third Round
(Finals). 10.
The total points accumulated from all Three Rounds will
determine the First, the Second and Third Place Winners. 11.
All decisions of the WCC Committee shall be final RECIPES 1.

1.
Her bir reçete (karışım) en az bir alkollü içki içermelidir. Kokteylin
içerisindeki alkol miktarı Pre-dinner After-dinner
ve long drink dalında toplam 7 cl’yi geçemez. 2.
Karışımda kullanılan ürünler
en fazla 5 (beş) ana maddeden oluşur. Buna dash (atım) ve drop (damla)
dahildir. 3.
Ana (taze) meyve suları, taze
yumurta akı, alkolsüz karışımlar, gazlı ve gazsız sular ve acıların
kullanılmasına izin verilir ve TBD tarafından karşılanır. 4.
Evde hazırlanan, yada elde hazırlanan
karışımlar ve içeçeklerin karıştırılarak bir (1) karışım
olarak sayılmasına izin verilmez. 5.
Karışımda yalnızca taze süt,
krema ve yumurtadan oluşan mandıra ürünleri kullanılabilir. 6.
Işıtılmış karışımlara izin
verilmez. 7.
Yarışmacının orijinal reçetesindeki
karışımların yerine kullanacağı başka ürünler, kokteyl yapımından
önce TBD organizasyon komitesi tarafından onaylanmak zorundadır. 8.
Şüpheli
karışımlar TBD organizasyon komitesi tarafından onaylanmak zorundadır.
