    TURKISH BARTENDERS ASSOCIATION`S ACTIVITIES IN THE  INTERNATIONAL  AREA SINCE ITS FOUNDATION  
   

1.      TURKEY’S FIRST TRAY CARRYING RACE was held on October 3rd, 1993’ in İstanbul. Fully sponsored by J&B Scotch whisky.

2.      ULUDAĞ SKI CENTER TRIP was organized on February 14th, 1994 with aim of motivating bartenders and to establish friendly and respectful relations between the bartenders. Fully sponsored by Johnnie Walker scotch whisky.

3.      TURKEY’S FIRST COCKTAIL COMPETITION was held on Aprıl 3rd , 1994 in İstanbul, sponsored by Swissotel The Bosphorus, Yılmat, Yetaş, Transhil. 

4.      A magazine was organized as Bartenders Associations` publication with named SHAKER. IT was imported the news and information about sector to our members. It got positive reviews from sector companies. 

5.      DOLUCA VINERY VISIT was organized on September 18th, 1994 in order to share the knowledge of wine producing and wine tasting. Fully sponsored by Doluca Şarapları.

 6.      TURKEY’S SECOND TRAY CARRYING RACE was held on October 2nd, 1994 in İstanbul. Fully sponsored by J&B Scotch Whisky.

 7.      TURK TUBORG BREWERY VISIT was organized on October 23rd, 24th,  1994 to İzmir with the aim of sharing knowledge and know how Beer is made. Fully sponsored by Tuborg.

 8.      TURKEY’S FIRST BARMEN’S GO CART RACE was held on November 13th, 1994 in İstanbul. Fully sponsored by Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky.

 9.      Association Joined the 9th HOTEL & RESTAURANT EQUIPMENT FAIR which was held between November 18th - 22th, 1994 in İstanbul. With the aim of giving information to the visitors about our Association and activities. The fair was opened by Minister of Culture of Turkish Republic who congratulated us for the efforts we have shown.

 10.  TURKEY’S FIRST BEEFEATER GIN COCKTAIL COMPETITION will be held on December 13th, 1994 in Çırağan Palace Hotel in İstanbul. With the aim of providing information flow in the sector and to achieve new tastes. Competition will be fully sponsored by Beefeater Gin.

 11.  Turkey`s Second Cocktail Competition was made in Hyatt Recency at 9th April of 1995.

 12.  TBD is accepted to IBA as a member in Toronto-KANADA at 21-26 September of 1995. TBD took all the the votes from other member`s and represent our country successful in meeting. In the Cocktail competition that was made after the meeting, our founder member Zeynel Karakus ranked as 10.

 13.  TURKEY’S III. TRAY CARRYING RACE was held on September 8rd, 1995. Fully sponsored by J&B Scotch whisky.

 14.  TUBORG SECOND BREWERY VISIT was organized on October 22rd- 24th,  1994 to İzmir with the aim of sharing knowledge and know how Beer is made. Fully sponsored by Tuborg.

 15.  TURKEY`S first Bartenders Show competition was made in Andromeda Disco in Istanbul at November 16th, 1995 and fully sponsored by J&B Scotch Whisky

 16.  TURKEY’S SECOND BARMEN’s and BARMAID`s GO CART RACE was held on November 18th, 1995. Fully sponsored by Cutty Sark Scotch Whisky.

 17.  Participation to Hogasco 2. International Hotel, Gastronomi Equipment Fair at November 22 – +26th , 1995 in Istanbul.

 18.  Jose Cuervo Especial Margarita Cocktail Competition Elimination for Istanbul was held on March 24th 1996 at the Parksa Hilton Hotel, for Izmir held on March 31st 1996 at the Izmir Hilton and For Ankara was held on April 7th 1996 Ankara Hilton. The Final Competiton was held on April 14th 1996 at the Istanbul Hilton.

 19.  TURKEY’S III. COCKTAIL COMPETITION was held on May 3rd , 1996 in Silivri Klassis Hotel in İstanbul. There were 34 bartender and 7 barmaid candidates from 28 different workplace.

 20.  TBD II. Dı Saronno Amaretto Cocktail Competition was held on September 29th 1996 at Ciragan Palace with participation of 22 bartenders and barmaids..

 21.  TBD attended to 44. IBA Meeting& ICC Cocktail Competition in Tokyo-Japan at September   9-13rd, 1996 and with candidate barmaid Ozlem EKMEN `s cocktail Moonlight Motion succeed to be winner and with candidate Hakan CALCI`s pre-dinner cocktail Emerald Eye succeed to get 2. of world.

 22.  TURKEY’S IV. TRAY CARRYING RACE was held on October 13rd, 1996. Fully sponsored by J&B Scotch whisky.

 23.  Turkey`s II. Bartender Show was held on October 31th 1996 at Andromeda Disco in Istanbul With sponsored by J&B Scotch Whisky.

 24.  TBD joined to Dı Saronno Amaretto Mediterranean  cocktail competition at  7-9th  November 1996 in Malta and presented our country best.

 25.  Turkey`s IV. Cocktail Competition was held on April 13rd, 1997 at Sherlock Holmes Bar participation of 30 bartender and 2 barmaid from 25 different workplace.

 26.  Turkey joined IBA John Whyte  course at July 13-25th, 1997 .

 27.  TURKEY’S V. TRAY CARRYING RACE was held on October 5rd, 1997’ in İstanbul. Fully sponsored by J&B Scotch whisky.

 28.  TBD attended to TUSİD’ 97 fair at October 22-26th 1997 in Beylikduzu TUYAP.

 29.  Turkey`s III. Bartender Show was held on October 23th 1996 at Andromeda Disco in Istanbul With sponsored by J&B Scotch Whisky.

 30.  TBD attended to 46. traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at November 22-27th, 1997 in Republic of Czechoslovakia in Karlovy Vary City. TBD supported the promotion of our country in Karlovy Vary.

 31.  Turkish Bartenders Association`s 5. Foundation Birthday was celebrated December 21st 1997 in the Swissotel The Bosphorus.

 32.  TBD provided to be prepared the standarts of bartenderhood job with World Bank financial support and “Is ve Isci bulma” Association`s common coordination with a study for Work Standarts Development Committee at the February 12-14th 1998 in Ankara.

 33.  TBD organized South Eagean Golden Shaker Cocktail Competition with 32 candidates from  Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye at March 5 –10th 1998 in Marmaris Pineta Hotel at the  South Eagean Hotel Equipments Fair`s Content. It`s on  Long-drink category. 

34.  Turkey`s V. Cocktail Competition was held on April 29th, 1998 at Istanbul Dedeman Hotel with participation of 50 bartender and 4 barmaid from 38 different workplace at the After-dinner Category. 

35.   TBD attended to 47. traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at November 3-8th, 1998 in Portugal in Lisbon. TBD supported the promotion of our country in Lisbon. 

36.  Bols Cocktail Competition was held on  October 14th 1998 at the Istanbul Divan Hotel. 

37.  J&B organized Bartender Show Competition at December 15th, 1998 at the Clup Millenium. 

38.  Turkey`s VI. Cocktail Competition was held on April 4rd,  1997 at Topkapi Eresin Hotel participation of 38 bartenders and barmaids from 30 different workplace with Long Drink Category. 

39.  Cutty Sark organized Bartender Show Competition at May 30th, 1998 at the Istanbul Hilton Hotel. 

40.  TBD attended to 48. traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at September 29th,  and October 3-8th, 1999 in Sweden  in Goteburg. TBD supported the promotion of our country in Goteburg. 

 41.  Turkey`s VII. Cocktail Competition was held on March 5th,  1998 at Grand Hotel Halic participation of 26 bartenders and 2 barmaids from 28 different workplace with Pre-Dinner Category.

42.  TBD was organized the First Barmen Show Competition at the April 16th, 2000 in  The Marmara Hotel.

43.  TBD attended to 49th  traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at November 6-10th, 2000 in Singapore. TBD supported the promotion of our country and attended the 1st Bartenders Show Competition of ICC.Our candidate Levent Yilmaz succeed to get prize of 3rd .

44.  Turkey`s VIII. Cocktail Competition was held on April 15th,  2001 at Swiss The Bosphorus participation of 26 bartenders and barmaids from 24 different workplace with Pre Dinner Category.

45.  TBD attended to 50th  traditional IBA meeting and ICC after-dinner cocktail competition at November 21-25th, 2001 in Singapore. TBD supported the promotion of our country best.

46.  Turkey`s 9th Cocktail Competition was held on May 5th,  2002 at Swiss The Bosphorus participation of 26 bartenders and barmaids from 20 different workplace with Long Drink Category.

47.  IBA Training Book was translated to Turkish and become educational for all TBD members.

48.  Beefeater Gin Bartenders Competiton was held on September 15th, 2002 at the İstanbul Swiss The Bosphorus. 15 bartenders were candidates and they are tested for product knowledge,creativity, innovation and personality,mixing quickly and Free Style.

49.  TBD attended to 51th  traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at October  18-22nd, 2002 in Slovenia. TBD supported the promotion of our country best.

50.  Finlandia Vodka Cocktail Competition was held on September 27th, 2002 at the İstanbul SWISSOTEL THE BOSPHORUS Champanya Rose Saloon. 22 Candidates were attended in pre-dinner, after-dinner and long drink categories to competition.

51.  TBD 10th Year Parties organized at February 24th, 2003 with  almost 400 members of TBD from all around Turkey at the Kalamış Murphy’s Dance Bar.

52.  The Famous Grouse Bartender Show Competition was held on February 19th,2003 at the Istanbul SWISSOTEL THE BOSPHORUS. 11 Bartenders was raced.

53.  Turkey`s 10th Cocktail Competition was held on April 20th,  2003 at Swiss The Bosphorus participation of 30 bartenders and barmaids from 24 different workplace with Pre Dinner Category.

54.  Bacardi & Martini Grand Prix was held on April 20th, 2003 for Open Classic and Free Style categories at the Swiss The Bosphorus.

 55.  A dinner organized for TBD Founder members and Pride Committee at the May 5th, 2003 Istanbul Mövenpick Hotel. A Plaque was given to them for their support to association.

 56.  At the Bacardi&Martini Grand Prix for Open Classic Guven Yerlikaya took 4. prize and For Free Style Levent Yilmaz succeed to be winner of world championship at the July 4th, 2003 in Italy.

 57.  Cocktail Competitions were organized with Tetrapak at July 10th,  2003-Izmir, in July 12th,  2003-Bodrum, July 14th,  2003-Antalya and August 14th, 2003- Istanbul.

 58.  Finlandia Vodka Cocktail Competition was held on September 15th, 2003 at the İstanbul SWISSOTEL THE BOSPHORUS Champanya Rose Saloon. 25 Candidates were attended in pre-dinner, after-dinner and long drink categories to competition.

 59.  TBD attended to 52th  traditional IBA meeting and ICC pre-dinner cocktail competition at October  18-23nd, 2003 in Sevilla-Spain. TBD supported the promotion of our country best.

 60.  Gordon’s Gin Cocktail Competition was held on January 07th, 2004 at the Istanbul SWISSOTEL THE BOSPHORUS. The competition was on  pre-dinner, after-dinner and long drink categories with 43 candidates.

 61.  Turkey`s 11th Cocktail Competition was held on April 05th,  2004 at Movenpick Hotel-Istanbul participation of 27 bartenders and barmaids from 15 different workplace with Pre Dinner Category.

62.  Bacardi Martini Grand Prix Cocktail Competition was held on December 5th, 2004 at the  Istanbul SWISSOTEL THE BOSPHORUS.The competition was organized for 3 different categories; Open Classic for younger than 28, Open Classic for older than 28 and  Passia Prix for younger than 28.

 63.  Finlandia Vodka Cocktail Competition was held on December 19th, 2004 at the Movenpick Hotel. 34 Candidates were attended in pre-dinner, after-dinner and long drink categories to competition.
